Taquería Guadalajara was created in the dinner of the Bobadilla Family  Originally from the State of Jalisco, Mexico. The first location was established northwest of the City, on FM 620 road, and although it was not a focal point where the Hispanic or Mexican community resided, it became a favorite place  for the variety of its dishes,  the quality of its flavor and of course the extraordinary treatment of its staff.

Omar Bobadilla, current owner, was part of this growth from the beginning. Being a family restaurant with very Mexican values and principles; The family was part of the work team, Omar being a member who, with his dedication and love for the industry, developed in all positions within the restaurant, from dishwasher, waiter to the most extraordinary and dedicated chef. He learned and fell in love with the business; so much so that it was natural that it should become his.

Y  here is born what we know today and we do not change for any other, Restaurant Guadalajara North Lamar.

Omar always had the idea of being able to delight more families with the exquisite flavor of his dishes and the only way was to get closer to the Hispanic community of Austin. Together with his wife Eloiza Márquez -also from Jalisco-  began the wonderful task of forming and working with all their hearts in  the branch in North Lamar. The response of customers captivated by the taste of  its dishes, soon turned the place into one of the favorites not only of Hispanic families, but also managed to conquer customers from all cultures, who, feeling welcome, share their great experience by making Taqueria Guadalajara or now Guadalajara Mexican Restaurant , a Mexican place with visitors of all nationalities. Their green chilaquiles with a very capital Mexican flavor, their Tapatio-style roast beef, their Guadalajara enchiladas soon became the city's favorite dishes!

Sooner than later, it became clear to them that they needed a special, unique place, specially designed for what Taquería Guadalajara deserved to be. After  more than a year of working on the renovation project of the place, from a beautiful bar, wonderful murals, beautiful furniture, with touches of wood and colors that denote good taste and a love for Mexico, that you not only enjoy your stay, but transports you to that beautiful country!  Everything was designed and created just to offer its customers the extraordinary experience of a restaurant like Taqueria Guadalajara . But now it was necessary to give it a complete touch, update the already famous name from Taqueria Guadalajara to Guadalajara Mexican Restaurant , La Alteñita, mentioning Los Altos De Jalisco.

Guadalajara Mexican Restaurant with its two locations  FM 620 and North Lamar continue to be one of the best options in the city to try Mexican food and Tapatio dishes. It continues with great taste and innovation, creating bar drinks such as its already famous and highly recommended Cucumber Margarita, which, to tell the truth, is a tradition among its customers who have made it a success. And so it will continue because the mission of Omar and Eloiza has always been based on love for the industry, dedication and of course the great gift of wanting to serve.  

With the renovation, the great family of Guadalajara Mexican Restaurant ,  is by choice of the Central Texas community an icon of our city.  We invite you to delight their exquisite molcajetes, dishes, seafood  Y  why not? Margaritas of all flavors and to be created!
